New Ad: Caught On Tape: Taxes
Posted October 19, 2015
Today the Kentucky Democratic Party is launching a new digital advertisement in the KY gubernatorial race, Caught On Tape: Taxes.
The spot uses Matt Bevin's own words to highlight his continued refusal to release his tax returns, breaking Kentucky's long and bipartisan tradition of disclosure. The recent Bluegrass Poll found that nearly 70 percent of Kentuckians think Bevin should release his tax returns now. The KDP previously released similar ads using Bevin's own words to highlight his dishonesty: "Caught on Tape" and "Caught on Tape: Healthcare."
"The one thing Matt Bevin hasn't lied about during this campaign is his decision to break Kentucky's long and bipartisan tradition of disclosure by hiding his tax returns." said Kentucky Democratic Party Chairman Patrick Hughes. "Nearly 70 percent of Kentuckians think Bevin should release his taxes now, and his dishonest excuses only underscore that he has something to hide. With just days to go before the election, it's past time for Bevin to stop hiding, stop lying and come clean with voters. But if he doesn't, it's just more proof why Kentuckians cannot trust an 'East Coast Con Man' like Bevin to serve as our governor."
The ad will target Kentucky voters through social media including Facebook and Twitter.
