New Ad on Romney’s Failure to Come Clean and Release More Tax Returns: When Romney goes to Ohio today, he’ll see a new campaign ad asking whether he’s avoided paying his fair share in taxes. He recently said his campaign has “put out as much as we’re going to put out.” It makes you wonder: what’s Mitt Romney hiding?

As governor, Romney stifled start-up creation in Massachusetts. He claimed his business experience would help Massachusetts small businesses, but he failed to create an economic environment that would attract entrepreneurs and encourage small business owners to grow and hire. Instead small business activity slowed dramatically.

Mitt Romney has been deliberately twisting President Obama’s words around to falsely suggest that the President doesn’t value small businesses or the entrepreneurial spirit that built this country. His distortions and accusations are flat-out wrong.

The American people will choose between Mitt Romney’s vision that would take us backward and President Obama’s vision for moving America forward.

Mitt Romney met with Rick Santorum today in Pennsylvania before a campaign stop at a manufacturing company where he’ll claim to be an economic expert. Even Santorum knows that Romney’s brand of economics would be a disaster for our country and our economy – he’s been telling voters about it throughout the Republican primary.

Forward: President Obama has a vision for an economy that’s built to last, where everyone gets a fair shot, does their fair share, and plays by the same rules.

After more than two weeks of highlighting the private-sector costs of Romney Economics, we’re continuing the discussion by examining what happened when Romney brought his economic philosophy and values to government as Massachusetts governor.

Romney Economics isn’t about creating jobs or helping the middle class. It’s about two sets of rules, one for those at the top and another for everyone else.

Romney economics does not make Romney a job creator. He was in business to make money for himself and his investors, not to create jobs. His partners have said it, he’s said it and everyone knows it.

Today the campaign launched a new website and released a new two-minute ad and a six-minute video highlighting the real story of Mitt Romney’s business record. The American people should decide for themselves whether they want a President who took those lessons and values away from that experience.
